Bolt torquing is a means of applying a set force intended to produce rotation – using a specific set of standards – for a given fastener. Many manufacturers require initial torque of fasteners. They then require re-torque at specific time intervals for a given percentage of torque value and a given percentage of fasteners. Bolt torquing is performed on location and may be performed in conjunction with industrial rope access.
American Testing Services personnel are able to accommodate all bolt and fastener sizes and up to 10,000 psi or 3230 ft.lbs. in torque value.
