Calibration Technician Position Summary:
This position exists to support the operations of our Calibrations department by providing the calibration, routine inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of a variety of equipment used in the non-destructive testing environment. The goal of the Calibration Technician is to ensure the accuracy and precision of the measurements taken using this equipment.
Calibration services are provided for equipment used in-house by members of the American Testing Services team as well as a large number of external customers. This position will support both our lab and field operations based from our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters.
Calibration Technician Essential Responsibilities:
- Test equipment and instruments to check that their readings and output meet expected results.
- Installation of new or repaired equipment or parts as needed.
- Follow standard operating procedures and protocols when working on equipment.
- Communicate with and respond to customer inquiries regarding their equipment.
- Compile reports and calibration certificates for customers.
- Travel to customer locations to perform equipment calibrations and repairs as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Calibration Technician Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrical or electronics background a plus.
- Experience in equipment maintenance or manufacturing environment a plus.

Metallurgical Technician Position Summary:
This position exists to perform machining of test pieces as well as hand-on materials testing. Based in our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters, this position works closely with other Metallurgical Technicians and our Materials Engineers in the Metallurgical department. Candidates must also have the ability to work independently when needed to process multiple jobs simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Metallurgical Technician Essential Responsibilities:
- Follow instructions from materials engineers and/or work orders to execute various sample preparations and follow standard operating procedures.
- Prepare test specimens for mechanical testing utilizing various machining equipment (CNC lathe, mill, grinding wheel, etc.).
- Prepare samples for metallographic evaluation by use of abrasive / band saws, mounting presses, and polishing equipment.
- Perform materials laboratory testing and analysis: chemical analysis by Optical Emission Spectrometry/Combustion; mechanical property evaluation; Rockwell, Brinell & Vicker’s, and tensile testing; Charpy impact testing.
- Perform daily routine maintenance on equipment.
- Preserve accurate and legible labeling of results as well as samples and remnants during and after processing work orders.
- Maintain high degree of organization and cleanliness in work areas.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
Metallurgical Technician Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- CNC experience preferred
- Experience with lathes, mills, abrasive saws, and bandsaw a plus
- Lab experience in metallurgical sample preparation and metallography preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other organizational/planning tools

We are looking to grow our 2nd shift team of NDT technicians. A successful candidate will hold SNT-TC-1A and/or NAS 410 Level 2 certification in MT and/or PT. Wages will depend on experience level. Our 2nd shift generally works four (4) 10 hour days, Monday through Thursday.

NDT Level 2 Technician Position Summary:
This position exists to provide non-destructive testing inspections supporting both our lab and field operations based from our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters. We provide materials testing for the aerospace, defense, amusement, automotive, nuclear, and medical industries and more.
As a Level 2 Technician, this position will set up equipment and complete control checks; perform non-destructive tests; evaluate inspection results for acceptance or rejection determinations according to applicable codes, standards, and specifications; and record results. Level 2 Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and are responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of trainee and Level 1 Technicians.
This is a 2nd shift position.
NDT Level 2 Technician Essential Responsibilities:
- Set up and perform daily process control checks on nondestructive testing equipment.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
- Organize and report test results.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company safety standards and practices as well as legal regulations. Alert others as appropriate regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Utilize proper protective equipment.
- Perform specialized inspections.
- May instruct and monitor others.

NDT Level 2 Technician Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certified to NAS 410 or SNT-TC-1A in MT and/or PT.

NDT Technician Trainee Position Summary:

As an NDT technician trainee, this position will provide a wide range of hands-on support for the day-to-day throughput of our various NDT departments.
This is a 2nd shift position.
NDT Technician Trainee Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks under the direction of certified Level 2 and Level 3 technicians while gaining experience and acquiring knowledge of customer specifications and inspection requirements.
- Unpack parts, document the as-received condition, and prepare orders for inspection using predetermined criteria.
- Perform visual inspection and package parts in accordance with customer requirements upon the completion of processing.
- Complete applicable paperwork for orders in-process.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company safety standards and practices as well as legal regulations. Alert others as appropriate regarding potential hazards or concerns.
- Utilize proper protective equipment.
- Participate in NDT training programs (which could include visual, magnetic particle, penetrant, radiography, ultrasonic, and eddy current inspection methods), document hours of experience, and take certification exams as required to advance to level of certification.

NDT Technician Trainee Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
