Amusement parks have been a core customer base for American Testing Services since its founding in 2002. With 20 years in the non-destructive testing (NDT) field, Chris Small set out to make this company one of the top amusement park inspection firms in the country.
Amusement park rides see a combination of stresses and elements unlike any other comparable structures of their size and shape. This is a very demanding industry requiring a variety of NDT method expertise and amusement park experience to know what to look for and how to look for it.
In order to better service amusement parks, American Testing Services has expanded the services we offer beyond common NDT to include industrial rope access, bolt torquing, and wire rope inspections. All of our amusement park inspectors have also had additional training and are certified in aerial lift basket / platform operation and fork lift operation.
Chris Small is a current member of NAARSO (National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials) and is also a board member on the State of Ohio Ride Advisory Board to promote amusement park safety awareness and training.
