Man of the Year winner Pat Moran & his campaign manager, Jennifer LaRue

Man of the Year winner Pat Moran & his campaign manager Jennifer LaRue

On Friday, May 13th several members of the ATS family attended the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man & Woman of the Year Grand Finale at Sinclair Community College’s David H. Ponitz Center.  About 700 people gathered to wrap up this year’s campaign and see the Man and Woman of the Year crowned.  The big moment came after cocktails, a competitive silent auction, dinner, and hearing about some of the amazing working being accomplished by LLS funded researchers.

We were so excited to hear Pat Moran announced as Man of the Year! Pat and The Eradicators Team raised over $69,000 in ten short weeks.  Pat was a big supporter of Chris’s Man of the Year campaign in 2015, so we were honored to return the favor.

Someday is Today LogoAs if raising $69,000 wasn’t impressive enough, Woman of the Year winner Ann Bockrath set an all-time Dayton record by raising over $250,000. Truly amazing!  And while one man and one woman are named the “winners” at the end of the campaign, the reality is that everyone who supports LLS is a winner – the candidates, their teams, donors large and small.  All that support, no matter what the form, leads to wins in medical research over cancer.  We all win when cancer loses.  Someday is today.
