In May of 2014, ATS announced that we were an approved supplier for Aerojet Rocketdyne.  This approval gave us the ability to perform nondestructive testing in the method of ultrasonic immersion in accordance with ASTM E1001 Standard and our internal quality procedure for ultrasonic inspection on Aerojet parts.  

Fast forward a few years to December 2018. With a little push from a customer, Aerojet Rocketdyne performed a risk analysis desk audit to expand our scope of approval.  Upon completion and positive results of the audit, we were granted approval to perform penetrant inspection in accordance with ASTM E1417. 

A couple of months later, with another nudge from our customers, Diedra Howell, ATS Quality Manager, was contacted by an SQE Auditor from Aerojet Rocketdyne. She was informed that the auditor was performing a risk analysis desk audit in hopes of expanding our scope of approval once again.  Diedra supplied all information needed and with completion of the audit yielding satisfactory results, we are proud to announce the expanded scope of approval to include magnetic particle inspection in accordance with ASTM E1444.
