Ben Graves came to ATS just one short year ago, but he brought 10 years of NDT experience with him.  Before entering the world of NDT, Ben served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years as a diesel mechanic.

As one of our Level II certified radiographers, Ben has spent a good part of the last year working in the Radiography department.  But Ben’s work load is changing a bit.  He has recently earned Level III certifications in Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant.  That means Ben has taken on some additional responsibilities, including teaching some of our Magnetic Particle and Liquid Penetrant training courses.  He really enjoys teaching the classes and finds that the students always have great experiences to share.

Ben is also our new Certified Welding Inspector, and he is eager to begin offering this service to our customers.  Read above for more details on CWI inspections and/or contact Dan Reynolds in the sales office.

Ben likes to spend his free time getting out and about.  He enjoys visiting amusement parks and festivals in the warm weather months.  (Ben highly recommends Fairborn’s Sweet Corn Festival, held in August!)  He also enjoys target shooting and claims to be an expert shot.  Recently Ben has turned into a history buff, developing an interest in reading about American history.
