Doug Evenden is an important member of our Metallurgical Lab staff, and this summer will mark his 5 year anniversary with ATS.  Before coming to ATS, Doug was a metallurgist at Cooper Tools for 27 years.  He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Purdue University and a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering from University of Dayton.  As a member of our metallurgical staff, Doug focuses on microstructure analysis and microhardness testing.  He is responsible for producing reports documenting the results of all mechanical testing and also cares for most of the quality functions within the Met Lab, including overseeing our A2LA accreditation.

Doug and his wife live in the Wilmington area in a log home.  Doug is also building a wooden canoe that he is looking forward to putting on the water this summer!  They are very active in their church – Doug sings and volunteers with the Kairos prison ministry, both of which he finds very rewarding.  Doug also loves spending time with family, especially his four grandchildren who range in age from 6 months to 7 years old.
